A: Yes, the SD5900T dock is compatible with all MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with M-series chipsets. It supports up to Quad 4K @ 60Hz for MacBook models with the M4 base chipset, as well as MacBook models with M1, M2, M3, M4 Pro, and Max chipsets (and the M3 base chipset when the laptop lid is closed). It also supports up to Triple 4K @ 60Hz for models with base M1 or M2 chipsets.
A: Yes, for MacBook models that have at least one USB-C® port that supports Power Delivery, the SD5900T dock will deliver up to 100W charging(96W certified).
A: The SD5900T dock supports macOS 11 or above.

The SD5900T will support up to two external displays for plug-and-play video. With DisplayLink®, the SD5900T dock supports up to four external displays (quad 4K at 60Hz) for MacBook models with the M4 base chipset, as well as for MacBook models with M1, M2, M3, M4 Pro, and Max chipsets (and the M3 base chipset when the laptop lid is closed).

A: To watch videos on streaming platforms with HDCP protection while connected to the SD5900T, you will need to temporarily disable the DisplayLink® Manager:
This workaround will allow you to watch the video using one external monitor connected to one of these plug-and-play options: 2 x Thunderbolt™ downstream ports or 1 x DP port. When you are done streaming video with HDCP protection, simply enable the DisplayLink® Manager again to use multiple displays according to your MacBook's chipset capability.
A: The SD5900T dock has three Thunderbolt™ 4 ports – one Thunderbolt™ 4 host port for laptop charging and two Thunderbolt™ 4 DFP ports that deliver up to 40Gbps data transfer speeds and provide up to 15W of device charging. The SD5900T is a hybrid dock that offers the Thunderbolt™ 4 benefits of 40Gbps bandwidth while also enabling you to connect two additional external displays using DisplayLink® technology.
A: Yes, the SD5900T supports charging for your iPhone. The front USB-C® 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps port and the front Thunderbolt™ 4 DFP port can deliver up to 15W of charging power. Additionally, there is a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps port that provides up to 7.5W, making it ideal for charging your Apple devices, such as your iPhone, AirPods, or Apple Watch, using either a USB-C® or USB-A cable.
A: Yes, the SD5900T dock features KonstantCharge™, which enables you to charge your devices through the ports as soon as power is supplied to the docking station, even when the laptop is disconnected from the dock.
