Kensington SD7000 Surface Pro Docking Station Named a Finalist in the 2018 CRN® Tech Innovator Awards

San Mateo, CA – November 12, 2018 – Kensington®, the worldwide leader of desktop computing and mobility solutions for IT, business, and home office professionals and The Professionals’ Choice, announced today that CRN,® a brand of The Channel Company, has recognized its  SD7000 Surface Pro Docking Station as a finalist in the 2018 CRN Tech Innovator Awards. The SD7000 is the ultimate docking solution for Surface Pro, offering users best-in-class connectivity, performance, and design to support the desktop of the future.

The 2018 CRN Tech Innovator Awards honor standout hardware, software, and services that are moving the IT industry forward. In compiling the 2018 Tech Innovator Award list, CRN editors evaluated 300 products across 34 technology categories using several criteria, including technological advancements, uniqueness of features, and potential to help solution providers solve end users’ IT challenges. Kensington’s SD7000 Surface Pro Docking Station was recognized as a finalist in the PC Desktops/Monitors/Docks category for its groundbreaking design that extends the Surface Pro’s capabilities into a powerful desktop environment.

Kensington’s Surface Pro Docking Station enables users to expand their desktop setup to include two 4K external monitors at 30Hz, connect to a wired network, and sync up their favorite USB accessories. Built on Microsoft’s proprietary Surface Connect technology, the docking station ensures seamless syncing and charging.

The SD7000 dock’s articulating hinge allows the Surface Pro to be comfortably positioned upright as a display or at a perfect drafting table angle. A magnetic connection for Surface Pen keeps it handy and ready for use. With a small desktop footprint and clean lines, the SD7000 Surface Pro Docking Station is designed to look as good as it functions. An optional Lock Module for SD7000 Surface Pro Docking Station secures the Surface Pro when docked to deter theft.

Kensington’s SD7000 Surface Pro Docking Station will be featured as a part of the Tech Innovator Awards in the December issue of CRN, and can be viewed online at crn.com/techinnovators.
