Windows Hello certified (includes Windows Hello for Business) for seamless integration. Also compatible with additional Microsoft services including Office 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Outlook, and many more.
Kensington takes pride in making our comprehensive installation guides easy to follow with simple illustrations and step-by-step instructions. This guide will walk you through setup and help you get to know your VeriMark™ Desktop.
Please update operating system (Windows 10) before setting up Verimark. If using an online service for WebAuthn make sure you use the latest browser version (Edge, Chrome, Safari and Firefox.)
In most instances, the driver for VeriMark™ Desktop will automatically install when VeriMark™ Desktop is connected to a USB-A port on your computer. If for some reason the driver does not install upon VeriMark™ Desktop being connected to your computer (VeriMark™ Desktop is shown as “Unknown Device” within Device Manager), you can manually install the driver.
VeriMark™ Desktop has a 1.2m/3.9ft cable. In case the cable is not long enough, you may use a USB extender cable to increase the cable length or connect it to USB peripherals such as monitors or docking stations.
VeriMark™ Desktop is FIDO U2F Certified, and FIDO2 WebAuthn compatible, making it a great authentication device for Windows Hello as well as single-factor-(passwordless), dual-, multi-factor- or Tap-and-Go authentication on other online services and software.
Tap-and-Go combines a username and password with second-factor security key authentication, to enable extra security on non-FIDO2 services. For services leveraging the older FIDO U2F standard (Facebook, Shopify, Google Services, OKTA and others), instead of using biometric authentication, the user can simply place their finger on VeriMark™ Desktop fingerprint reader to enable a security token experience.
Match-in-Sensor technology can be used on any Windows 10/11 computer. The fingerprint template is isolated from the host computer and OS, and the authenticator only transfers a ‘pass/fail’ match token to services and the OS for authentication.
Yes, as long as the host computer is running Windows 10/11 and the VeriMark™ Desktop drivers are installed.
It supports up to 10 fingerprints, which is the limitation of Windows Hello. Each fingerprint can be enrolled as a different user profile.
