Innovative Productivity-Enhancing iPad Docking Station Wins Award for High Design Quality in Communications Technology Category

The Red Dot Award: Product Design dates back to 1955 and recognizes the best products created each year. Roughly 50 jurors, who formed an international panel of experts from a wide variety of industry sectors, were guided in their evaluation of the products based on the motto, “in search of good design and innovation.” In a process that spanned several days, the jurors scrutinized each product using assessment criteria that included quality, ergonomics and longevity.

Kensington’s StudioDock™ and the rest of this year’s award winners will be included and celebrated in the online exhibition on the Red Dot website beginning on June 21, 2021, the start of Red Dot Design Week. StudioDock™ will showcased in the exhibition, “Design on Stage,” in the Red Dot Design Museum Essen, beginning on June 22, 2021, where visitors can experience the quality of the design in a space that features contemporary design solutions and historical industrial architecture. Available in August 2021, the Red Dot Design Yearbook 2021/2022 will provide a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and trends in product design.
